An Ode to Us [?]
You wear your lackluster smile
Like an ill-fitting cap. It sits
sideways on your face and lops
over your dark as sin cheeks.
I wish I could kiss you again,
Welcome your fat slick browns
With my emaciated pinks.
Yeah, I’d like a lot of things
from you for you with you
but nothing in those blackhole
eyes blinks back. You know
darling is a word. Love
is a word too. And it means
more than the thing between
hello and goodbye.
