Summer Prescience
In the sweat of that searing summer
You dreamt of us, foresaw
how we would soon be:
We are walking, a typical day at school,
The snow arcing gently
Down from the heavens
Dancing onto our pink lips,
My swaying golden hair,
Your straight roman nose.
My hand in yours, escaping the cold,
Nestled together in your pocket,
Buried soft within a layer of furred wool.
